LEV / COSHH Examination & Testing
LEV Services Limited specialises in the COSHH TExT (thorough examination and test) of LEV (local exhaust ventilation) systems to determine whether the system is adequate for controlling the released hazardous substance and to ensure it is performing to the systems initial design criteria.
Every employer that has extraction equipment which is used to control substances hazardous to health must ensure it is thoroughly examined and tested. This is stated in Regulation 9 of the COSHH Regulations 2002 (as amended), and where LEV is used the thorough examination and testing must be completed at least every 14 months. Some LEV systems require more frequent testing.
LEV Services Limited has the experience and competence to provide both the Initial Appraisal and Thorough Examination of new or modified LEV systems and the Thorough Examination and Test of current LEV systems. The LEV testing & examination fully complies to the requirements of Regulation 9 of the COSHH Regulations and follows HSE guidance set out in HSG258.
As well as many years of experience our LEV testing staff are also qualified to the HSE recognised competence BOHS (British Occupational Hygiene Society) P601, giving confidence in the quality of the work LEV Services Limited provides.
